If they hear you, they hunt you. A family must live in silence to avoid mysterious creatures that hunt by sound. Knowing that even the slightest whisper or footstep can bring death, Evelyn and Lee are determined to find a way to protect their children while desperately searching for a way to fight back.
After some time and finally being able to watch this movie it’s safe to say I was not disappointed. The theme of ‘A Quiet Place’ was similar to that of ‘Bird Box’ in a sense that you are completely paralyzed by “a greater evil” hunting you in ways that limits your actions and primary functions as a human being. Bird Box being sight and A Quiet Place being no auditory noise whatsoever.
There is no real backstory as to how these creatures came about inhabiting the Earth but it doesn’t need to. We pick up right in the middle of this apocalypse and right off the bat you figure out the only key to survival… which is SILENCE. These demonic creatures pick up even the slightest of sounds so if you feel the need to cough or sneeze, supress it. John Krasinski who was accompanied by his wife and fellow entertainer Emily Blunt as the two lead actors also directed this film and brilliantly I might add as we truly felt every nerve wrecking and sweat dripping moment. This new spin on the already saturated horror genre (mostly focused on the paranormal these days) will leave you holding your own breath at times.
Just how much are you willing to sacrifice to keep your family safe?
Starring: John Krasinski, Emily Blunt, Noah Jupe and Millicent Simmonds.
