Denny Swift is a Formula One race car driver who understands that the techniques needed on the racetrack can also be used to successfully navigate everyday life. Besides his career, Denny has three loves of his life — his beautiful wife, their young daughter and his best friend, which is a dog that wants to be reincarnated into a human.
This movie hit me deeper more than I expected it to. As a dog and animal lover who knows how far and deep a dog’s love can go for the owner I finally saw it from the dogs perspective. Perhaps that’s what makes dogs so special, the love and loyalty we give them we receive that back tenfold from our furry friends.
This movie was very heartwarming, not the best movie of the year not by a longshot but as a family film to watch on a Sunday night before work or school the next day it’s almost perfect. However it was all to predictable in certain areas because this is not a new path they took, every dog film has played out in a similar way involving drama, death, loss and a few moments of triumph. What made this one different was the ending and I won’t ruin it for you but needless to say it made me more emotional than the entire movie.
